Recap of Sellstate’s Highly Successful 2015 Leadership Summit!

Earlier this month, the highly successful 2015 Sellstate Leadership Summit came to a conclusion with attendees left breathless by the quality and quantity of material provided. The event was hosted at the Pink Shell Beach Resort and Marina in Fort Myers, Florida, from November 4th and 5th. With the guest list that consisted of Sellstate’s top leaders including managers, brokers, and owners; alongside corporate leadership and prominent event sponsors, the atmosphere at the event was marvelous. The agenda for the two day event focused on the key areas of operating a successful real estate office. Guests enjoyed the excellent opportunity to network among Sellstate leaders from around the country while sharing their best tips and strategies. The 2015 Sellstate Leadership Summit also served as a platform that highlights the vision and future plans of the best system in real estate.

The first day opened with a brief opening speech from Neil Cresswell, Sellstate President; followed by a keynote by Arthur Darmanin, Chief Operating Officer. The nearly 2-hour session highlighted on Sellstate’s highly anticipated Career Acceleration Program. The Career Acceleration Program is designed to get new agents up to speed and established in real estate in eight short weeks. This propriety program is also fantastic for agents who want to boost their career.

Following the well-received Career Acceleration Program, Neil Cresswell, President, explored a thought-provoking discussion on how leaders can actively influence their office’s productivity. Chris Sorenti at Homes.com provided an excellent presentation on the company’s growing value and their key strategic partnership with Sellstate Realty; they also revealed some exciting new features that are coming soon for our agents and offices. Neil and Taylor Cresswell, the dynamic father and son real estate team, provided an excellent back-to-back session on local branding and recruiting. To conclude the first day, Homes.com hosted a group dinner at the resort’s restaurant. Attendees enjoyed a superb dining experience while networking with fellow Sellstate leaders in a relaxed environment.

The following day started off strong once again with Bill Steinke, VP of Franchise Development, showcasing how leaders can take responsibility and action within their office space. He demonstrated the capability and simplicity of Power Suite’s customizable websites. With just a few clicks, guests were shown how to optimize their career pages to capture more agent leads. Neil Cresswell came back for another riveting presentation on proper lead generation and incubation. The attendees were then provided several strategies to leverage their social media platforms for lead generation. After lunch, Shannon Reeves, Director of Industry Relations at Zillow Group, shared how the company’s recent acquisition of Trulia has truly enhanced Sellstate’s strategic alliance and value. Sellstate is now able to provide an even greater consumer reach to our excellent members. Shannon provided some insight on future products and thoroughly answered many questions from our company’s leaders.

Following our technology-focused sessions, our attendees were then given some time to discuss ideas among their groups on how to utilize technology that’s available to them to improve and grow their offices. Michael Darmanin, COO, emphasized the importance of using statistics to enhance an office’s market advantage. Elaborating on the book  How to Lie with Statistics, Michael shows how the use of appropriate data can assist an office to hire productive agents. The final session of the event was a very important one – Neil Cresswell, President, lead a powerful session on charity and giving back to the local community. Our company’s leaders were ecstatic about the opportunity to make a lasting change in their cities.

Art Darmanin, CEO, gave his closing speech that highlighted the company’s successes and plans for the future. Greg Kelly, manager and owner of Sellstate Next Generation, was awarded the Leadership Award for the 2nd year in row for his office’s stellar performance. Rob Duncan, owner of Sellstate Group Realty, was awarded the Spirit Award for his office’s amazing charitable contribution. Arthur’s enthusiasm for the future of the company was infectious as attendees displayed their excitement for what Sellstate has in store.

The 2014 Leadership Summit was a great success, and we’re happy to know that the 2015 Leadership Summit was an even greater success with more content for our amazing members. Recap of Sellstate’s Highly Successful 2014 Leadership Summit

Earlier this month, the highly successful 2014 Sellstate Leadership Summit came to a conclusion with attendees blown away by the quality and quantity of material provided. The event returned for it’s second year to the Monte Carlo Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, from October 15th to the 16th. With a guest list comprising of Sellstate’s top leaders including managers, brokers, and owners, alongside corporate leadership and prominent event sponsors, the enthusiasm at the event was indescribable. The agenda for the two day event focused on optimizing marketing and prospecting, recruiting highly productive agents, and enhancing the overall Sellstate Experience.

The first day opened with brief speech from Neil Cresswell, Sellstate President, followed by a marketing keynote by Michael Darmanin, Chief Operating Officer, and Chris Palko, Marketing Coordinator. The nearly 2-hour session highlighted Sellstate’s accomplishments over the past year and provided attendees with a wealth of new marketing material. The end of the session was focused on providing our offices with step-by-step instruction on how to optimize their local marketing efforts.

Following the well-received marketing session, Ron Ario, Regional Manager, California, presented Sellstate’s new Pioneer Model – a innovative growth strategy that can now be implemented by our offices.

A powerful session on recruiting mega-agents was given by Sellstate Next Generation Realty (Ocala, FL) Manager, Greg Kelly. Greg shared strategy after strategy that breaks down exactly how he targets and ultimately recruits the absolute top producing agents in his market. Greg has recruited several agents who each close over 100 transactions per year.

Bill Steinke, Manager at Sellstate Achievers, then demonstrated the power and simplicity of Power Suite’s customizable websites. With just a few clicks, guests were shown how to optimize their websites to capture more consumer leads.

Then, in a surprise recruiting-oriented session, Michael Darmanin, COO, and Art Darmanin, CEO, unveiled Sellstate’s latest recruiting presentation geared towards streamlining agent interviews in a manner that highlights all of Sellstate’s strengths in a short period of time. Attendees were ecstatic at how this tool will help them recruit more agents to their office.

To conclude the first day, our Strategic Alliance partner and event sponsor, Homes.com, hosted a group dinner at the resort’s premier steakhouse, BRAND. Attendees enjoyed a superb dining experience while networking with fellow Sellstate leaders in a relaxed environment.

Day 2 started off strong once again with our event sponsors sharing how their offerings can help our offices grow. Homes.com provided an excellent presentation on how to optimize their HomesConnect platform for search engines. They also revealed some exciting new features that are coming soon for our agents and offices.

Zillow then shared how our strategic alliance with the world’s largest homes search site has grown to provide an even greater consumer reach to our members. They provided some insight on their acquisition of Trulia and thoroughly answered many questions from our company’s leaders.

American Dream Real Estate School concluded the presentations from our sponsors by informing our offices of an innovative new education model that adds value to our system and provides a revenue stream for our offices. This technology-driven system enables our offices to offer various curriculums for agents of any experience level.

Following our technology-focused morning sessions, our attendees were then given some time to discuss among their groups ideas on how to utilize technology that’s available to them to improve and grow their offices. The morning sessions certainly sparked their creativity as new ideas were generated and shared amongst the groups.

After lunch, Michael Darmanin, COO, emphasized the importance of understanding different personalities and how that applies to hiring the perfect staff. Elaborating on DiSC testing, Michael shows how to hire and work with office staff in an optimal manner.

Neil Cresswell, President, then lead a powerful session on auxiliary services and creating additional revenue streams for our offices. Our company’s leaders were ecstatic about opportunities to provide their agents with more value.

The final session of the event was a very important one – goal setting for 2015. Our office leaders took the initiative to think about what they wanted to accomplish in the upcoming year and put it in writing. This session was a more personal one that gave our members time to reflect on what we’ve shared with them over the past two days and how it will impact their business going forward.

Sellstate Increases Time on Site an Amazing 1,700% Through Unified Database Strategy

At the 2013 Sellstate Leadership Summit, we covered many of the Sellstate’s recent technical achievements. Beyond the online video milestones we’ve highlighted in previous posts, Sellstate has also made great strides in the key areas of website traffic and time on site.

Even with the popularity of social networking sites and online video, it is important to focus on having a solid website as the foundation of an extensive web presence. To further enhance our foundation Sellstate launched an entirely new website strategy that quickly evolved into our most successful web platform to date.

Sellstate’s web analytics show that the monthly average time on site has increased dramatically from 8 hours to 136 hours – an incredible 1,700%!

By building our website architecture around a unified database, we have been able to create a website that intelligently manages, sorts, and displays content across our consumer (Sellstate.com), recruiting (JoinSellstate.com), and agent/manager resource (SellstateSource.com & SellstateLive.com) sites.

This not only benefits our visitors with a seamless, cohesive experience, but it is also favorable to search engines, particularly Google. Instead of having several small, targeted sites, Google views Sellstate’s web property as a large, dynamic, and authoritative website. This allows Sellstate’s content to rank well in search engine results, leading to more traffic and more branding.

But simply having a single, authoritative website is not the only focus. Our web platform is specially designed to house high quality content on a regular basis. SellstateLive.com acts as our blog and latest news stream which also intelligently sorts and populates content on SellstateSource.com and JoinSellstate.com where appropriate. This allows our material to be accessed by visitors exactly where they expect it to be.

In addition to proper placement, our database has been structured with interactivity in mind. There is a deep level of Facebook, the world’s most popular social network, integration. Visitors can view, comment, and share our content simply using their Facebook account. There is no need for additional registration, account creation or login information. Additionally, we’ve included sharing links for Google+ and Twitter for further interaction.

New Sellstate Online Video Strategy Increases View Time a Staggering 532%

The 2013 Leadership Summit highlighted some of the incredible achievements Sellstate’s Marketing Studio has accomplished over the past year. As online video increases in popularity, we have continually tweaked our strategy to create the most effective videos possible.

When you look at the numbers, it is beyond clear that online video has become one of the premier ways to deliver your message. Some enlightening information is below:

– Online video users are expected to double to 1.5 billion in 2016. (Source: Cisco)

– Only about 24 percent of national brands are using online video to market to consumers. (Source: Kantar Media)

– 76 percent of marketers plan to add video to their sites, making it a higher priority than Facebook, Twitter and blog integration.

…our online viewership watch time has increased by an amazing 532%

Earlier this year, Sellstate incorporated a new initiative which started with an analytical study of online videos focusing primarily on increased viewership, optimal video length and viewer retention. This study, which remains ongoing as part of Sellstate’s initiative to bring the best quality video content to the web, led to the introduction of a new video series which began with the promotion of the Sellstate Power Suite.

The results of these new videos are nothing short of staggering! The two graphs below demonstrate the impressive results:

The first graph demonstrates that since this initiative has been put into place, our online viewership watch time has increased by an amazing 532%! Perhaps even more impressive is that while the watch time has increased by over 500%, the average video length has decreased by almost 90%. This means that not only are our new videos better at keeping people’s attention, but also that the number of viewers has substantially increased as well!

While the preceding results do a good job of demonstrating how much better our video content has become over the past twelve months, it is the next graph that shows how truly dominant our new content has become.

The above graph shows a comparison of how our video performs against all other videos online of similar length. Please note that this is not limited to real estate, but considers all videos on Youtube including all funny videos, tutorials, viral videos and even cute kitten videos.

As you can see our video performs above average nearly the entire time!

This new initiative is one of the latest advancements from the Sellstate Marketing Studio. We continue to review, revise and study everything that is done to ensure the maximum efficiency and quality of our material.
