Recap of Sellstate’s Highly Successful 2014 Leadership Summit

Earlier this month, the highly successful 2014 Sellstate Leadership Summit came to a conclusion with attendees blown away by the quality and quantity of material provided. The event returned for it’s second year to the Monte Carlo Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, from October 15th to the 16th. With a guest list comprising of Sellstate’s top leaders including managers, brokers, and owners, alongside corporate leadership and prominent event sponsors, the enthusiasm at the event was indescribable. The agenda for the two day event focused on optimizing marketing and prospecting, recruiting highly productive agents, and enhancing the overall Sellstate Experience.

The first day opened with brief speech from Neil Cresswell, Sellstate President, followed by a marketing keynote by Michael Darmanin, Chief Operating Officer, and Chris Palko, Marketing Coordinator. The nearly 2-hour session highlighted Sellstate’s accomplishments over the past year and provided attendees with a wealth of new marketing material. The end of the session was focused on providing our offices with step-by-step instruction on how to optimize their local marketing efforts.

Following the well-received marketing session, Ron Ario, Regional Manager, California, presented Sellstate’s new Pioneer Model – a innovative growth strategy that can now be implemented by our offices.

A powerful session on recruiting mega-agents was given by Sellstate Next Generation Realty (Ocala, FL) Manager, Greg Kelly. Greg shared strategy after strategy that breaks down exactly how he targets and ultimately recruits the absolute top producing agents in his market. Greg has recruited several agents who each close over 100 transactions per year.

Bill Steinke, Manager at Sellstate Achievers, then demonstrated the power and simplicity of Power Suite’s customizable websites. With just a few clicks, guests were shown how to optimize their websites to capture more consumer leads.

Then, in a surprise recruiting-oriented session, Michael Darmanin, COO, and Art Darmanin, CEO, unveiled Sellstate’s latest recruiting presentation geared towards streamlining agent interviews in a manner that highlights all of Sellstate’s strengths in a short period of time. Attendees were ecstatic at how this tool will help them recruit more agents to their office.

To conclude the first day, our Strategic Alliance partner and event sponsor, Homes.com, hosted a group dinner at the resort’s premier steakhouse, BRAND. Attendees enjoyed a superb dining experience while networking with fellow Sellstate leaders in a relaxed environment.

Day 2 started off strong once again with our event sponsors sharing how their offerings can help our offices grow. Homes.com provided an excellent presentation on how to optimize their HomesConnect platform for search engines. They also revealed some exciting new features that are coming soon for our agents and offices.

Zillow then shared how our strategic alliance with the world’s largest homes search site has grown to provide an even greater consumer reach to our members. They provided some insight on their acquisition of Trulia and thoroughly answered many questions from our company’s leaders.

American Dream Real Estate School concluded the presentations from our sponsors by informing our offices of an innovative new education model that adds value to our system and provides a revenue stream for our offices. This technology-driven system enables our offices to offer various curriculums for agents of any experience level.

Following our technology-focused morning sessions, our attendees were then given some time to discuss among their groups ideas on how to utilize technology that’s available to them to improve and grow their offices. The morning sessions certainly sparked their creativity as new ideas were generated and shared amongst the groups.

After lunch, Michael Darmanin, COO, emphasized the importance of understanding different personalities and how that applies to hiring the perfect staff. Elaborating on DiSC testing, Michael shows how to hire and work with office staff in an optimal manner.

Neil Cresswell, President, then lead a powerful session on auxiliary services and creating additional revenue streams for our offices. Our company’s leaders were ecstatic about opportunities to provide their agents with more value.

The final session of the event was a very important one – goal setting for 2015. Our office leaders took the initiative to think about what they wanted to accomplish in the upcoming year and put it in writing. This session was a more personal one that gave our members time to reflect on what we’ve shared with them over the past two days and how it will impact their business going forward.

Art Darmanin, CEO, gave his closing speech that highlighted the company’s successes and plans for the future. His enthusiasm for the future of the company was infectious as attendees displayed their excitement for what Sellstate has in store.

The 2013 Leadership Summit was a great success, and we are happy to know that the 2014 Leadership Summit was an even greater success with more attendees and more content. Community Ablaze With “RUN, RIDE AND RHYTHM” Fundraiser Benefiting Lake Norman Volunteer Fire Department

Lake Norman VFD and Sellstate Select to present the first-ever full concert appearance by Eddie Money for the Lake Norman community. Attendance by thousands expected to place Mooresville, North Carolina on the map as a philanthropic town.

This coming Saturday, October 25th,  The Lake Norman Volunteer Fire Department will host its first-ever Run, Ride and Rhythm Festival and Family Fun Day presented by Sellstate Select Real Estate. All proceeds from the event – which will take place at the Shoals Grill, Ace Hardware, Food Lion Center on Brawley School Road (Mayhew Promenade) from 6:00 am until 10:30 pm – will go toward the purchase of a new state-of-the-art fire truck to serve the community. According to Sanford Brown, co-founder at Sellstate Select, the event is about raising funds for the fire department – and much more. “At the core, our volunteer firefighters protect our community 24 hours a day,” Brown details. “They are selfless individuals who give tirelessly to ensure our health and safety. Supporting our local community fire department is supporting a universal cause in which we stand together, work together and serve together. Additionally, the Mooresville and Lake Norman community are extremely giving, and this event showcases this incredible attribute of our community. We expect an event of this scope and nature to be just one of many that will help recognize our community for its charitable efforts and put it on the map as a major philanthropic destination.”

There will be activities for everyone – including a 5k run, starting at the picturesque Trump National Golf Course, three-hour charity motorcycle ride and non-stop musical entertainment featuring rock icon Eddie Money and seven additional local bands on the Sellstate Select stage.

“This is the first time our community has seen the likes and size of an all-day charitable festival complete with a music venue mixing local fan favorites and a national headliner such as Eddie Money,” shared Kevin Clark, deputy chief of the Lake Norman Volunteer Fire Department.

Also of significance is that the Tunnel to Towers Never Forget 9/11 traveling memorial, which was built by Mooresville-based Specialized Mobile Exhibits, will be on display. In addition, there will be a kid-zone with bounce house and 25-foot rock climbing wall, fire trucks, simulated burn house and a vendor fair featuring local businesses. We believe an event of this magnitude will be a great example of how a volunteer fire department and its local citizens can stand as one and collaborate for a great day and cause for the benefit of all.”

Sellstate “Priority Cares”: Meet Our Friend Rylee

Sellstate Realty has an overall passion for philanthropy and community service. Sellstate Priority takes this value to heart when it comes to servicing its Cape Coral community.

Sellstate Priority Manager Lynda Moritz dedicates her life to enriching the lives of others. She started the charitable organization “Priority Cares”, in which funds are raised through garage sales and other initiatives to support families in need.

Examples of “Priority Cares” contributions include:

-Helping members of the Cape Coral Caring Center

-Arranging the famous cellist Yo-Yo-Ma to donate a cello to a young local musician.

-Providing large donations for Garvin’s Medical Trust Fund. Garvin is a child suffering from a rare mitochondrial Disease.

-Adopting the Lawrey family over Christmas, and raising $100,000 for their new home.

Sellstate Priority recently reached out to share their current project and newest friend.

Meet Rylee:

Here is Lynda Moritz/Sellstate Priority’s story:

“The Cappuccilli family is truly an inspiration. We met the family through a rather strange coincidence. David Cappuccilli was the banker we’ve worked with previously and while talking with him I kept noticing this beautiful face on his phone. At one point of the conversation I asked “Who is this little angel?.” David replied that it was his granddaughter Rylee, however I felt that there was more to the story. I come to find out that Rylee was injured by her father at three weeks old and as a result is paralyzed from her diaphragm to the tip of her toes. Her father is currently serving time in prison for the assault and injury.

David and his wife Irene have moved in their daughter, Andrea, and granddaughter, Rylee, to help with the 24/7 care. Andrea is finishing her college education on-line as she cannot leave Rylee unattended. David and Irene have exhausted their retirement and are currently renting a home for the family. Everyday expenses have become such a burden and Andrea cannot work due to the constant care needed to support her daughter. Her parents are working many jobs to make ends meet.

This is where we step in. We are so proud to reach out “Priority Cares” to the Cappuccilli family.”

Sellstate Priority will be hosting a November 1st garage sale benefiting Rylee on their Cape Coral parking lot. 100% of the donations received at this event will go towards preparing a medical trust on Rylee’s behalf. Sellstate Priority will also shoot a video of Rylee’s story that will be featured on her “Fund Me” page, which will be provided in an update post.
