Zillow’s Partnership with Leju Gives You Direct Access to Chinese Buyers

Sellstate’s ever-expanding relationship with Zillow reaps constant benefits for our real estate advisers and managers. The Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at Zillow recently announced that the company will be powering U.S. real estate searches for Leju, the leading Chinese real estate platform.

The Leju company operates several real estate and home-furnishing sites, as well as mobile applications that services over 250 cities in China.

For U.S. homes, Chinese buyers represent the largest population of foreign buyers, having spent $22 billion on U.S. real estate purchases last year.  By Leju providing this audience direct access to the U.S. market through their leading real estate site, we’re opening an entirely new channel to drive revenue to agents and brokers whose listings appear on Zillow.

In 2013, the median price of the homes Chinese buyers purchased was approximately $523,148, with 76 percent of purchases reported as all-cash purchases.

Sellstate Group Realty Displays Their Passion For Philanthropy

Sellstate Real Estate Advisors have a big heart!

Sellstate Group Realty in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina is making an active stand for the welfare of two local philanthropies.

Sellstate Group Realty is contributing towards the 2014 Waccamaw Heart Walk on October 18th. Representatives are walking, donating and volunteering their time and money towards the American Heart Association (AHA). The American Heart Association is the largest voluntary health organization working to prevent, treat, and defeat heart disease, stroke and other cardiovascular diseases.

These diseases, the Nation’s No.1 and No.4 killers, claim more than 813,804 American lives a year.

Pictured below is Sellstate Group broker Robert Duncan with agents Cheryl Bell and Mike Patten as they are fundraising for the event.

Sellstate Group Realty is also showing their appreciation for the Habitat for Humanity organization by purchasing their “Homeownership: The American Dream” license plates. Proceeds from buying the specialty license plates support the construction of new affordable housing in South Carolina. Broker Robert Duncan chairs the State committee for Habitat funds, and will allocate the distribution of those funds to affiliated Habitat for Humanities across the entire state.

Zillow Plans To Acquire Trulia For $3.5B

Sellstate strives to ensure that our members are informed about exciting developments happening within our real estate industry.

Zillow CEO Spensor Rascoff has recently announced that the real estate giant will be entering a definitive agreement to acquire competitor Trulia for $3.5 Billion in stock.

Since custom upgraded listings on Zillow are being provided as part of our Sellstate’s value proposition, our members will surely experience the benefits of an increased web presence by Zillow.

The combination of these two companies sets the stage for us to offer even more real estate tools and services to empower consumers and thus have the ability to drive even more business to our offices and agents.

The acquisition will require the approval of shareholders, which might take several months. For now, the companies will continue to operate independently.

We will provide additional details as they become available. We are ecstatic about our strategic partners continuing to make moves that ultimately benefit our members.
